A remote destination for development

Incontext Productions has been working around the clock on a frightfully gray island called San Servolo, remotely located in the Venetian Lagoon. If this location was designed to keep its filmmakers focused, it has certainly done its job. Originally home to monks, and then to the mentally ill, it's also the perfect setting to write a tense dramatic thriller.

That is where our feature film project, The Prefect, is now in development as part of the Venice Film Festival’s new film lab initiative, Biennale College. With pressure to present the perfect pitch in front of the public, the press and financial backers, we've been working hard to make sure the pitch goes off without a hitch. 

Fifteen semi-finalist projects will be presented on Thursday from each of the director-producer teams culled from the 433 projects from 77 countries.
